Climbing the Ladder of Faith

1 Nephi 3:31 - "And after the angel had departed, Laman and Lemuel again began to murmur, saying: How is it possible that the Lord will deliver Laban into our hands? Behold, he is a mighty man, and he can command fifty, yea, even he can slay fifty; then why not us?"Elder H. Ross Workman - "Laman and Lemuel murmured. It began, as always, with questioning: 'How is it possible that the Lord will deliver Laban into our hands?' they said. Next, the excuses: 'Behold, he is a mighty man, and he can command fifty, yea, even he can slay fifty; then why not us?' Finally, they were slothful. Consider the impact of the choices made when Laman and Lemuel descended the ladder of faith while Nephi climbed higher. Unbelief blocks our ability to see miracles, whereas a mindset of faith in the Savior unlocks the powers of heaven.
