Cling: When You Have To Let Go: Psalm 55:22

Surrender means releasing what we cannot control into the hands of the God who can.Sometimes clinging to Jesus means holding on and sometimes it means letting go. Letting go of the outcome, the need to understand, the timeline we thought God would follow, the person we can't control, or the version of life we thought we were going to have. If we are honest, sometimes we hold onto our burdens because we think worrying about them is the same thing as controlling them. We replay every conversation, imagine every possible outcome, try to solve tomorrow before it arrives, and carry things in our minds that we have no power to change. Psalm 55 gives us another way: "Cast your burdens on the LORD, and He will sustain you."Reflect: What outcome, person, or circumstance are you having the hardest time relasing to God?
