Clinical Conversations: Overcoming Barriers to Sodium Glucose Cotransporter-2 Inhibitor Adoption

Sodium Glucose Cotransporter-2 Inhibitors (SGLT2) have demonstrated improvement in patient outcomes across several disease states including patients with type 2 diabetes, heart failure and chronic kidney disease.  Despite guideline recommendations for the use of these agents in each of these disease states, utilization of SGLT2 remains relatively low. This podcast discusses some of the barriers to utilization of SGLT2 and strategies to increase uptake of this therapy among patients with diabetes, heart failure and chronic kidney disease.   The information presented during the podcast reflects solely the opinions of the presenter.
