Cllr Walsh calls for urgent funding boost for dangerous R290 at Dunamurray

Cllr Thomas Walsh is calling on the Department of Transport to provide additional funding for urgent safety works at Dunamurray on the R290.He says the stretch of road is extremely dangerous, with a sharp corner and hill posing a serious risk to motorists travelling the route daily.While €40,000 has been allocated this year for realignment works, Walsh says further funding is needed, particularly for bridge rehabilitation.Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Thomas Walsh says the time to act is now and the Department must increase funding for low-cost road safety works.
