Closer to Fine? 7.26.26.

Our summer preaching series, “The Sermon I Need to Hear,” continues this weekend with a wonderful prompt, “Closer to Fine?” Some of you will recognize those words immediately as the title of the most well-loved song by Decatur’s own folk duo, The Indigo Girls. The line in the song says: “the less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine.” The whole song is a beautiful, soulful exploration of the human being on a spiritual journey. We will talk about—and sing—the song on Sunday, and also reflect on how music is the “soundtrack” for our spiritual lives. Rev. Lewicki, preaching.
