Coca-Cola topped earnings and sales expectations for last quarter, with organic sales jumping 7% in North America, where the World Cup was hosted. Shares of Coca-Cola rose 4.4%- Ford Motor (F) posted earnings ahead of Wall Street estimates and raised its outlook for the year on higher prices and strong sales of high-margin sport-utility vehicles. The company now expects to earn as much as $11 billion before interest and taxes this year, up from its prior forecast for $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion. Ford's shares rose 1.5% shortly after the end of normal trading in New York, and the company is investing $2 billion into a new energy storage business.- Visa (V) reported a fiscal third-quarter profit that beat Wall Street estimates hours after the world’s biggest payments network told staff that it will eliminate roughly 2,600 jobs. Adjusted net income for the three months through June rose 8% from a year earlier to $6.3 billion, or $3.32 a share, the San Francisco-based company said Tuesday in a statement. That topped the $3.23 average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Shares of Visa slid 0.8% to $363.79 in late trading at 4:12 p.m. in New York.
