Closing With A Song “Yer So Bad” by Tom Petty with Jamie Alvey

from The Brandon Peters Show

It feels weird when I think how long the show has been going on and you are landing on a legend like Tom Petty for the first time, but thus is the beauty of it all. There’s a lot of ground to still cover in the Closing with a Song segment. Sadly the late rock icon passed a few years back, but he left us with so many great videos to go along with an outstanding vault of undeniably great music. I chose “Yer So Bad” because it features a cameo from Marty and Elaine, the house band from The Dresden Room in Los Feliz in California. Most notably featured in the film Swingers, Marty recently passed a week or two ago and I wanted to give this staple of Los Angeles nightlife culture a nod. Jamie Alvey is back and her love for Tom Petty led me down the hole to find one to cover on the show. We have a fun conversation about this video and once again find some very David Lynch stuff in the music video we discuss. The Brandon Peters Show will return.
