Cloudberry Bakery

from Sunday Business Show

Family run business Cloudberry Bakery was set up by Maureen and Sam Harrison in 2010 making high end wedding cakes. Since then their business, based in Castlemaine, Co. Kerry, has pivoted from cakes to spreads. Sam told Conall how their sea salted caramel was the filler for many cakes and was in high demand. The filling was even being sought after alone, so they decided to get it into jars and put them into their concession shop in Brown Thomas, Co. Cork to test the market. The business has since gone from strength to strength and their spreads now include…salted caramel, chocolate praline, chocolate orange, whiskey caramel and chocolate caramel with fennel pollen. We are thrilled to announce that Cloudberry Sea-Salted Caramel is now available in 230 M&S stores across the UK and Ireland; one of just four new artisan products listed out of over 300 they were considering. Stay tuned for a complete list of stores. pic.twitter.com/Am5LsoRWAk — Cloudberry (@CloudberryBaker) April 6, 2018 The sea salted caramel spread has proved to be particularly popular and has just launched in the 230 Marks & Spencer stores. They are also set to launch in the German market later this year and will also be launching an online store selling macarons and other confectionery.
