Clown Show Rules Chaos Before Season Opener | Missouri Tigers Football News

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz is calling college football’s current eligibility chaos a “complete clown show,” blaming the lack of federal legislation like the Save College Sports Act for the confusion that’s stymieing team planning. Despite the mess, he’s proud of his captains — chosen by both coaches and players — and the team’s growing unity and confidence. Cayden Green misses the opener due to health issues, but Drinkwitz believes his squad is ready, with Naeshaun Montgomery stepping up and homegrown defensive tackles pushing each other to excel. The season kicks off in front of a sold-out crowd at the new North End Zone — all eyes on what this resilient team can deliver amid the noise.
