Cloxunfox (disquiet0211-midnightinsideout)

from noimspartacus · host noimspartacus

The two clips were recorded live at midnight on Thursday / Friday this week. One clip was me standing on the patio after a fall of snow that was rapidly thawing. In the distance you can hear faint cry of a fox. The other recording was taken inside my kitchen at the same time. I was hoping to have captured the gurgles and sighs of my fridge but what I got instead was a steady hum and the clock ticking. I loaded the two clips into logic and played around with the panning, volume and added increasing compression to the kitchen clip as it played. the image is from a picture I took from the patio, the flash illuminated an overhanging branch and I thought it looked vaguely vulpine so I ran it through some image fx.
