CLUB VOLLEYBALL: Slegers dazzles at AAU meet

ORLANDO, Fla. — Soon-to-be Elkton-Lake Benton sophomore Quinn Slegers can call herself an All-American. This was based on her performance at the Amateur Athletic Union girls volleyball national championships at the Orange County Convention Center on Wednesday, July 1. Slegers was a member of the Avera Health Kairos 15 White squad. She was the team’s primary libero. “My goal this year for club was to play on a national team,” said Slegers, who participated in her school’s own three-day camp which wrapped on Friday, July 10 in the Elkton School north gymnasium under the direction of championship coach Daynica Brown....
