CMPD: 1 dead, 1 hurt after Steele Creek shooting | Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023

One person has died and another was injured after a shooting in Steele Creek, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. It happened along the South Carolina border, on Long Talon Way near Steele Creek Road. Around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the area after reports that shots had been fired. When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot.
