CNY Heroes Episode 21 - Hospice's "Veteran Honoring" Program

Veteran volunteers are needed for the “Veteran Honoring” program conducted by Hospice of Central NY and the Finger Lakes. Under the program, veterans visit veterans who are enrolled in Hospice care, either in their homes or other residential facilities. The program includes a special Honoring Ceremony to recognize the veteran’s service and provide the family with information about VA benefits and services. Dan Cummings’ guests for this episode are Air Force veteran Tom Richards, who visits veterans at Francis House in Syracuse; Michele Devlin, Volunteer Program Manager at Hospice of Central NY and the Finger Lakes; and Laurie Simpson, Director of Development for Hospice.
