Co-Movement Gym Podcast S1E28 - Mizar owner OPEX Montreal, Gymnast, Martial Artist, and CrossFit Athlete

from Co-Movement Gym Podcast · host Andy Cieply, Josh Lewis, and Ricky McDonough

On today's Co-Movement Gym Podcast we have Mizar Fuentes Ortega. Mizar is the owner of OPEX Montreal, a personal training gym that works with numerous clients of all backgrounds. As a former gymnast and gymnastics coach, Mizar found himself looking for another physical challenge. That’s when he found CrossFit in 2009. He quickly realized this was something he wanted to pursue, both as an athlete and as a coach. With the mentorship of James FitzGerald (Founder of OPEX Fitness), he qualified for the CrossFit Regionals multiple years in a row.  Seeking to understand more, he joined the OPEX Coaches Certification program. He became a coach for individuals who are committed to long-term progress and who are not just looking for a quick fix, because he enjoys having a positive impact on people’s lives and he knows that everyone has the potential to be a stronger, healthier version of themselves. As a coach, Mizar believes in starting with the basics. He encourages his clients to set goals and to understand their “why”, answering questions such as Why are they training? And Why is this important to them? Mizar is quoted saying, the common excuse of “I don’t have time” no longer exists. It’s more like “It’s not a priority at the moment”.Support Mizar/OPEX Montreal:Email: [email protected]: https://www.opexmontreal.ca/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/opexmtlInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/opexmontreal/Sponsors:   NativePath:Follow the link below to see all of NativePath's Pure Grass-Fed, Organic, Clean Supplements and use the CoMo15 code at checkout for 15% off! https://www.nativepath.com/ Lombardi Chiropractic: https://www.lombardichiropractic.com/ Mention the Co-Movement Gym Podcast when scheduling your initial appointment for 50% off Initial Consultation and X-Rays!  Suttmeier Law Firm: http://suttmeierlaw.com/ Mention the Co-Movement Gym Podcast for a FREE Initial Consultation!
