EJ weeks is a local to central NY. Graduating from New Hartford Highschool in 2002 and completing his bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Utica college with a degree in health studies with a concentration in human behavior. He then enlisted in the US Army. After the completion of Infantry training where he was the honor graduate for his class, he completed airborne training and was assigned as a paratrooper with the 82nd airborne. He later was reassigned to the 10th mountain division and spent the entirety of his 5 years of service as an infantryman within a reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition unit. EJ has deployments to Haiti and Afghanistan. Serving in dignitary protection, counterinsurgency and combat operations roles. During his time overseas EJ received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained by enemy forces during combat operations. Post military service EJ has served the state of New York as a senior training police technician with the Division of homeland security for the last ten years. EJ is a graduate of the MVCC phase academy where he received the leadership award and has been a full time as well as part time police officer since 2015. In addition to this impressive resume EJ is an entrepreneur and is the owner of Cross Rifle Solutions LLC and co-owner of Thin Line Martial Arts with friend and associate Jeff Hull. The company’s focus on civilian and LE training in many disciplines includes firearms, defensive tactics and personal protection. EJ has a training background in several martial arts. Most prominently a brown belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu under Len Sonia of Dojo1.
