Augusto Anguita Ruiz es graduado en Bioquímica y Biología Molecular, especializado en Investigación Traslacional y Medicina Personalizada en la Universidad de Granada. Cofundador de Novgen SL, una start-up enfocada en genómica y salud 2.0. Actualmente es investigador predoctoral en la Universidad de Granada con beca i-PFIS del Instituto de Salud Carlos III y centra su tesis en los factores genéticos de la obesidad infantil.La editorial Springer Nature y la organización británica The Wellcome Trust organizaron en Londres el evento Better Science Through Better Data, en el que siete investigadores de diversos ámbitos contaron sus experiencias compartiendo datos y metodologías de investigación en un formato de 7 minutos. Todos ellos expusieron enfoques innovadores en los campos de ciencia abierta e investigación reproducible, accesibilidad y reutilización de grandes set de datos de investigación, junto con demostraciones de proyectos, herramientas y casos de estudio concretos en distintas ramas del conocimiento. El protagonista de este Co3, Augusto Anguita, fue uno de los ponentes en dicho evento, exponiendo la importancia de compartir conjuntos de datos y metodologías analíticas para variantes genéticas del cromosoma X, así como de destacar algunas barreras importantes que se pueden encontrar actualmente al usar/acceder a repositorios públicos de datos genómicos.
