Coach Drinkwitz Speaks on Hardy’s Shooting | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri Tigers coach Eliah Drinkwitz broke the news that star running back Ahmad Hardy was shot at a Mississippi concert, narrowly missing vital organs and now sidelined for 5-8 weeks. While praising Hardy’s rehab dedication and resilience, Drinkwitz used the moment to deliver a powerful message: gun violence has no place in our society — especially when it impacts young athletes. He affirmed his respect for Second Amendment rights, but made it clear that violence must not be tolerated. With Hardy, a potential NFL draft pick, facing a major setback, Drinkwitz framed the incident as a chance for growth — and a wake-up call for everyone.
