Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien is planning to scrap the controversial passenger cap at Dublin Airport in a move which could create tens of thousands of jobs and boost the economy by billions of euro.The Sunday Independent can reveal Mr O’Brien will send a memo to Cabinet in the first week of October and begin the process of drafting legislation that will remove the airport’s 32 million a year passenger limit.If the legislation proceeds, it will see a removal of the cap at Dublin Airport by the end of next year.Lead travel writer and journalist Eoghan Corry joined us on The Agenda this morning to tell us more about this.
