'Coalition of the Willing'

Last week, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer echoed George W. Bush when he committed to taking Britain to war with Russia. He declared that Britain would be willing to put boots on the ground and planes in the air in Ukraine to protect their security. However, it’s highly unlikely that he could rally NATO nations to join him, as Ukraine is not a member of NATO. European Union nations also have no obligation to support him, as Ukraine is not part of the EU. Starmer won’t be able to secure a United Nations resolution or build support in the Security Council, as Russia holds veto power. His only remaining option is to lead Britain into war with Russia alone—or, like Bush did during the Iraq invasion, form a “coalition of the willing.” How are Britain and the other nations that might join Starmer’s reckless coalition making an equally, if not greater, mistake than Bush did?
