Cobalt Digital Updates Sapphire Converters for 2110 & IPMX | IBC2025

At IBC 2025, we speak with Suzana Brady from Cobalt Digital about updates to their Sapphire converter lineup. These units, available in single, dual, and quad-channel variations, support 2110, SMPTE 227, and IPMX standards. The two-channel bidirectional units allow for simultaneous receiving and transmitting over HDMI and SDI. IPMX, based on 2110, bridges the gap between broadcast and proAV markets. With plug-and-play simplicity, IPMX provides an easy-to-implement solution for corporate IT environments compared to the traditional complexity of proprietary systems. The Sapphire converters are ideal for remote production, control suites, and editing. With fanless models offering quiet operation, these units are already being used in a variety of broadcast and AV applications.
