Langers arrived at The Cobblers from derby rivals, Peterborough United. By the time he left, he was a cult hero. Signed by Gary Johnson, who had also been his gaffer at Posh, Langers went straight into the team for a shock 2-1 away win over Ipswich Town in the League Cup. Despite his time at Sixfields being dominated by injuries, Langmead spent 4 years as a Cobblers player.
