Cocoa Tea (born Colvin George Scott, September 3, 1959) was a legendary Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer known for his smooth tenor vocals and socially conscious lyrics. He emerged in the early 1980s, gaining his stage name from his affinity for "cocoa tea" (Jamaican hot chocolate). His first major hits included "Rocking Dolly" and "I Lost My Sonia" (1983). A devout Rastafarian since 1985, his music often addressed global issues.
