Medical debt often starts with something nobody planned for: an accident, illness, emergency room visit, or hospitalization. This week, we’re looking at the hidden costs of getting sick in America, what happens when patients are left with medical debt they never expected, and why even having insurance doesn’t necessarily protect people from huge bills.
