In this episode, I go deeper on the topic of codependency in parenting.I talk about what codependency is and how it shows up in the parent/child relationship - through a lack of healthy boundaries, enmeshment, over-involvement, and more. Codependency in parenting also correlates to permissive parenting. Single parents need to be especially vigilant, as codependency can unconsciously cause them to treat the child as their spouse. They may fill an internal void with the child's life and not give them space to develop their own sense of self.I speak about the negative impacts codependency in parenting has on children and teenagers, and also speak about energetic cords and energetic standpoint of problems it can cause.Ultimately, every step forward in your own healing of codependence will benefit your child (or future children).
