Alongside his younger brother, Willy Braun, Cody helped form the band in 1996 before relocating to Austin, Texas, where Reckless Kelly would become one of the most influential independent bands in Americana, Texas Country, and Red Dirt music.Long before Reckless Kelly, Cody was immersed in music as a member of Muzzie Braun & the Boys, performing with his father, legendary Idaho musician Muzzie Braun. Growing up touring throughout the West instilled a deep appreciation for authentic songwriting, exceptional musicianship, and the independent spirit that continues to define Reckless Kelly today.A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Cody's signature fiddle playing has become one of the band's defining sounds.
