His films are focused on stories about our changing world, told from the perspective of people intimately connected to science and the natural environment. He obtained a Masters degree in ecology from Oregon State University 2007 and founded the online collaborative video platform Filmstacker in 2016. Cody is well known for having been the 6 year old who survived being lost in the woods.
