Coetzee changes two for series decider against Ireland
from Rugby Hosted by SABC Sport
Springbok coach Allister Coetzee says that the elevation of Ruan Combrinck to the starting line-up ahead of Lwazi Mvovo is a tactical change with the team needing a right footed kicker. Combrinck got man-of-the-match in his debut Test last week against Ireland and scored a try and is one of two changes to the team with Warren Whiteley replacing the injured Duane Vermeulen at number eight. Coetzee utters that he is happy with the manner in which the team responded at training and their attitude and not changing the team is a vote of confidence in them and he has acknowledged that Vermeulen and Whiteley are different players and bring different attributes to the team but believes that Whiteley will make a contribution in the running game as was the case last week when he scored off the bench. At the same time Coetzee is loking to Whiteley to assist with the leadership role within the team and says that Saturday will be an opportunity for Whiteley to stake his place in the team.
