Coffee & Geography 4x15 Katie Hall (UK)

from Coffee & Geography

Kit Marie and Katie Hall enjoy some Yorkshire Tea and chat about accents, using GIS to enhance access to nature, archaeology, table-top role play games, and more!Katie rambled their way into a career with GIS via archaeology and geography teaching! Katie stills look at their feet when they are out field walking as grubbing in the dirt turns out to be a hard habit to break. But mostly these days Katie work indoors, either at their desk making resources for teachers looking to bring GIS into their curriculum, or out and about working with teachers to do the same! Katie loves their job but does try and make time outside of being 50% of the EsriUK school's team to run about a bit, walk their lovely greyhound Esker, and parent their rambunctious little one! Some links to things mentioned in the chat:-A brief guide to British accents and dialects (https://www.studiocambridge.co.uk/a-brief-guide-to-british-accents-and-dialects/) -National Education Nature Park (https://www.educationnaturepark.org.uk/)-‘Hidden Nature Challenge’ (https://www.educationnaturepark.org.uk/resource/hidden-nature-challenge) -‘Habitat Heroes’ (https://www.educationnaturepark.org.uk/resource/habitat-heroes) -Survey123 (https://survey123.arcgis.com/) -What is micromorphology?
