Kit talks to Victoria Fernandes (she/her) over a mug of coffee from Fazenda Rio Verde, chatting about painting portraits of birds, the family's old coffee farm, camels and mathematics, amongst other things!Victoria is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but currently residing in Cambridge, UK. She is a geologist researching how the Earth’s landscape has changed over space and time. Specifically, Victoria studies how climate and tectonics modulate river erosion over millions of years.
