Coffee & Geography S03E02 Akiko Tomitaka (Japan & UK)

from Coffee & Geography

Kit Marie and Akiko chat over a mug of Union Coffee about living in very contrasting countries, Japanese culture, global citzenship, playing the piano, yoga, amongst other things!Geographer, TCK, Global Citizen, and a Yogi 🧘🏻‍♀️ Born at 343.97ppm. Akiko has been made to feel very welcomed in the United Kingdom and especially by the people of Glasgow. However, no matter how well she integrates into my adopted community Akiko knows she is different and unique. Pupils are naturally curious about her; this makes it a perfect platform for her to teach Geography. Pupils in Akiko’s care will leave the school with a better understanding of how the world works. They will leave with the depth and breadth of knowledge; understanding and skills which will open doors to fulfil their ambitions and to serve others.
