Cohost Conversation: Grappling with life’s transitions means grappling again with past grief

from Relentlessly Resilient Podcast · host Relentless, LLC

Transitions in life can be difficult for anyone, but when a person has already grappled with loss and grief, these standard transitions become bogged down with that renewal of grief. In this cohost conversation episode of Relentlessly Resilient, hosts Jennie Taylor and Michelle Scharf use the tools of resiliency they have learned throughout their podcast history to grapple with changes in their lives. For Jennie, it has been five years since the tragic loss of her husband, and now her oldest is off to college out of state, and her youngest is entering kindergarten. While these changes are to be expected and celebrated, they are tinged gray in the grief of the lost ones not there to participate. Together, they support each other in facing the transitions in life.  Even though we live in challenging times, we can become Relentlessly Resilient as we lean on and learn from one another’s experiences. Hosts Jennie Taylor and Michelle Scharf are no strangers to overcoming adversity; Michelle lost her husband to cancer, while Jennie’s husband, Major Brent Taylor, was killed in the service of our country. Their stories bond them together, and now listeners can join them weekly as they visit with others enduring challenges and who teach us how they are exercising resiliency, finding value in their grief, and purpose in moving forward.  Listen to the Relentlessly Resilient Podcast regularly on your favorite platform, at kslpodcasts.com, kslnewsradio.com, or on the KSL NewsRadio App Join the Resilience conversation on Facebook at @RelentlesslyResilient and Instagram @RelentlesslyResilientPodcast.
