Cold Reads Episode 1

from Cold Reads Hosted by Nathaniel Tower

Welcome to Cold Reads, Episode 1. Cold Reads is a weekly podcast read by Nathaniel Tower. Each week, Nathaniel invites an author to send his or her wildest, funniest, most twisted story. Without reading the story ahead of time, Nathaniel records an audio version, trying to maintain his composure as the author takes the audience on a wild ride. Week 1 brings you "My Brother and Me and Silver Bullet" by Bud Smith. This is the opening story from his collection OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. The story was also published by Red Fez. Bud Smith is a writer from Washington Heights, New York City where he lives with his wife Rae and a dog named Chainsaw. Together they have all acquired a metric ton of vinyl records bought for a dollar at a New Jersey flea market. In 2013, his first novel Tollbooth will be released from Piscataway House Publishing. He also edits for art meets lit anthology Uno Kudo which was created to raise money for charity through its sales. He also hosts the radio interview program The Unknown Show.
