Cole Speer Returns to Bulldogs | Georgia Bulldogs Football News

Cole Speer, the unsung hero of last year’s SEC championship who made his mark on special teams, is returning to Georgia for the 2026 season — thanks to a new rule granting 2022 recruits an extra year of eligibility. Though not a starter on offense, Speer delivered when it mattered most, earning emotional praise from Coach Kirby Smart, who hailed him as the embodiment of Bulldog grit and loyalty. With 41 career games and five catches for 56 yards, Speer’s impact was felt in clutch moments — a feel-good story that underscores Georgia’s commitment to heart over hype.
