Cole Sullivan Faces Former Team | Michigan Wolverines Football News

Cole Sullivan, now suiting up for Oklahoma after playing for Michigan last season, is ready to take on his former team in a high-stakes showdown at The Big House. Though he’s friends with his old teammates off the field, he’s all business once the whistle blows — and expects the electric, heat-filled atmosphere from fans to return this year. He credits his coaches for preparing him well, acknowledging no one plays a perfect game but stressing the importance of locking in on fundamentals like tackling and staying disciplined by doing their job without overreaching. He breaks down the Sooners’ tough opponent — loaded with talent across the field, especially in the wideouts and backfield, and anchored by a strong offensive line. When asked about coaching differences, he stays focused on what he sees now, refusing to comment on past regimes. Sullivan plans to treat this ranked matchup like any other, sticking to his routine and mindset while embracing the unique energy of playing in front of a packed stadium. He also gives credit to Reggie, who’s helped shape his game despite differing styles, calling it an unusual but ultimately rewarding experience.
