In an effort to kick off the New Year, our offshoot gaming podcast wanted to produce a collaboration with us on something that had been trending, which we agreed presents itself as both a movie and a game in many ways—Black Mirror: Bandersnatch! For any of our listeners that recall it, this is a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style Netflix original movie, in which the viewer (or player) guides the protagonist through a dark and twisted plot to develop a five-star game. Without spoiling the multiple endings and meta narrative twists in full, we discuss the value (or lack thereof) of this new interactive media adventure, with Collateral Cinema and Collateral Gaming taking different sides!
