Collateral Hope with Dena Petty

from Christian Readers Community Podcast · host Christian Readers Community

When the person meant to protect you becomes the source of your deepest pain. In this powerful episode, I sit down with Dena Petty to discuss the painful childhood experiences that inspired her upcoming book, Collateral Hope, and the ministry that was born from that pain. We talk about trauma, healing, faith, forgiveness, and how God can bring purpose out of brokenness. Guest Biography: Dena Petty is the founder and executive director of Mentors Care, a nonprofit mentoring organization founded in 2009. Inspired by her own difficult childhood, she created the ministry to help students find hope, support, and direction. Today, Mentors Care serves hundreds of students and mentors across multiple high schools. Dena is also a wife, mother, grandmother, curriculum writer, and author of Collateral Hope. --- A Personal Note to Our Listeners Thank you for being here—your time, attention, and heart make this community what it is.
