Collecting Star Wars cards

from The Rebel Base Card Podcast · host Greg McLaughlin

We get down to basics and talk about getting your Star Wars card collection going and how to go about it. Why do we collect? Where do we buy cards? Which cards should we get? How much am I spending? How do I take care of my collection? Should I get everything?   Look, although your collection is inherently yours, there are some things you may want to consider before you dive in for the first time, or dive back in. I don’t have all the answers, but I can talk about the way I collect and some things I might have done differently if I started over again.   I enjoy opening packs, assembling a base set, and occasionally finding a cool autograph or sketch card. I sometimes buy full sets from eBay, sometimes from folks I find in collecting groups. There’s a lot of ways to do it. First and foremost, I hope you collect for fun. That’s why I got into it back in the day, and why I got back into it a number of years ago. I hope you enjoy the episode. It’s a little evergreen, meaning, that someone could find this a year or more from now, and still get something out of it. That was the intention.   If you have any feedback or tips for collectors, you can put a comment in the post for the episode and/or send the feedback via email to [email protected] https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Original-Topps-Trading/dp/1419711725/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=topps+star+wars&qid=1564083647&s=digital-text&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1
