COLLECTIVISM: IS IT COMMUNITY OR JUST BIGOTRY? – NAC:80

I don’t hide the fact that I’m a ‘libertarian’ when it comes to political issues. I don’t hide the fact that I still identify as ‘Christian’ as my primary religious identification. If you meet me in person or watch these podcast episodes on YouTube, it’s easy to see that I’m white and male. While we’re at it… I’m a Scorpio I’m an American I have a 4-year college degree I’ve been divorced and I can be identified by about 20,000 OTHER collective ‘markers’ as well So now you know everything about me, right? Long pause for effect… OF COURSE YOU DON’T! Identifying individuals merely by the collective groupings that they fit into is one of the easiest things to do in our modern world, and is perhaps the most toxic social norm in existence. When I identify you by the groups you ‘belong’ in, I lose sight of YOU as an individual. In this episode, I share my thoughts on why I believe collectivism is the ‘cancer’ of our current societal breakdown, and why individualism is the ultimate answer for world peace and the oneness of all things.
