Collector Frenzy

Acomi and Turk182 talk about NFTs (non-fungible token) and VMEs (virtual machine environment), and the collectible value of a virtual physical object. The price asked for a "limited" collectible figure or statue that doesn't exist physically and can only be viewed or enjoyed through a computer app. Turk also questions the collectible value of CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) graded comic books and the high price being asked by sellers for books that are CGC graded. Sellers are placing the value of graded books at 50% to 100% above the near-mint price guide value.  Acomi introduces graded video games and the high price tag associated with them. People are asking tremendous amounts for graded games that are still sealed in box, regardless of the number of copies produced and can still be found sealed and ungraded. The question becomes, is it the item that's valuable or the grading?
