Collins Heads to Kennesaw State | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Rickie Collins, the former Syracuse QB who filled in for five games last season and lost all eight games during his absence, is set to start at Kennesaw State this fall — a move that comes after he was benched by the Orange and joined the transfer portal alongside Luke Carney. Meanwhile, Syracuse’s quarterback situation is reshuffled as Amari Odom, who transferred to SU, now joins the roster as a backup behind returning starter Steve Angeli. The Orange open their season against New Hampshire on Sept. 5 and are projected to finish 14th in the 17-team ACC. Also, wideout Justus Ross-Simmons has returned to practice with an extra year of eligibility — but his playing time this season remains uncertain amid NCAA challenges.
