Colombian organic waste processing method sparks social movement

The Colombian Paca Digestora Silva — the Silva digester bale — is a processing method for organic waste that has spawned a social movement. The unique composting method was developed in the 1980s by Colombian forester Guillermo Silva, but only took off in the late 2010s and surged during the pandemic.
