Episode 8: In this episode we have a very special guest, Dr. Shaznin Daruwalla. Shaznin Daruwalla, trained as a clinical psychologist, migrated to the US from India. Among other things, she continues to unpack trauma associated with her migration to the US and the longstanding impact of colonial trauma embedded in the psyche of her beloved India. In this episode, among other things, we talk about the relevancy of colonial trauma in the here and now, how do we carry colonial trauma from generation to generation and how we still experience it today on an individual and systemic level.
