COLOR SPEAK, Season 3, Episode 6, with Lily Meschi, Director Iran Alive Ministries

from Color Speak: Unveiling Truth for Light · host J. M. Huxley

Around the world, many men, women, and children are fighting for the basic rights we take for granted, such as the ability to worship freely. Nowhere is this more true than in the country of Iran, where to follow Christ could cost one her life. And yet, Iranian women are believing Jesus. Iranian women are among the most brave women on the planet. Really. I've interviewed a few now and I am always impressed with their courage, and, in equal measure, lamentably disappointed with our general lack of it in comparison. For crying out loud, we care too much what people think. I can't imagine the majority of us laying our lives down for the right to do anything. Maybe I am being too harsh, but we've prefered to fill our heads and devices with shopping than to research what is really going on in the world. We have all sorts of distractions, and excuses for not taking a stand against darkness. And heaven forbid we get serious on social media. We have our kids to think of, after all. Meals to plan. Deadlines to meet. But things are changing. The world demands our attention. Good must prevail over evil. God's plan is partnership. We were made for such a time as this.Lily Meschi, is a great role model for us. She speaks out on the corrupt practices of arranged marriages of young women and older men in the Middle East, amongst other norms in their societies. She says after coming to Christ, the Lord set her free from her abusive marriage, and she takes pride in working at Iran Alive Ministries, where she is able to speak about cultural dispositions such as arranged marriages and the strong grip of abusive male domination in the culture.Lily  is the Director of Partners Relations for Iran Alive Ministries, which utilizes satellite TV to broadcast Christian programming to a potential audience of 130 million in Iran and the Middle East. It is the most watched Christian channel in the world and the #6th most watched among secular audiences.Wrap your minds around those numbers. This is a great spiritual awakening! The world is starved for Jesus. Iran is no exception. What Iran needs is not a political revolution, but a spiritual awakening and internal revolution to change the Islamic culture that has been ingrained in that country for so long. The entire globe needs a spiritual awakening. And God has not lost sight of any of us.***Lily Meschi is the Director of Partners Relations for Iran Alive Ministries, which utilizes satellite TV to broadcast Christian programming to a potential audience of 130 million in Iran and the Middle East.Alive’s 24/7 broadcasts and a 24/7 helpline for Iranians are serving as a lifeline of sorts at a time when many Iranians are fighting for their basic human rights and feeling cut off from the rest of the world. The ministry has an audience of an estimated 6 million daily viewers (and 20 million weekly viewers) of its satellite program in Iran. https://iranalive.org/J.M.
