She remembers hearing sermons about when God would speak to Moses, Noah, Elisha, David and so many others in the Bible and she would think to herself, if God spoke to people back then, why doesn’t He speak to people now?  It wasn’t until she went to Explo ‘72 that she received an understanding of the importance of the Holy Spirit. At this youth gathering, she heard the Lord’s voice for the first time and that was monumental for her. When she returned home she became closer to her boyfriend whom she later married that following year. Years later she became a mother of two.  It wasn’t long before she began to hear Him speak to her and He would answer her questions as how to respond to situations in her life. Everyday now she inquires of the Lord and asks Him what is on His heart and He responds to her.  Find Patty @Plteich on XAnd @ www.pltprayer.blogspot.comJ.M. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
