"Giving thanks" is appropriate when somebody does you a favor, but what the Lord has done for us is no mere "favor". If we could fully comprehend all that God has given us in Christ, we'd probably go a bit longer in our prayers. We are a Bible believing church, committed to helping people grow in their faith.
