Colossians 1:9-14

from Ramah Baptist Church Hosted by Ramah Baptist Church

This is the morning sermon at Ramah Baptist Church in Palmetto, GA on September 6, 2026. In this sermon from Colossians 1:9–14, we consider Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of God's people. Rather than focusing on earthly success or comfort, Paul prays that believers would be filled with the knowledge of God's will, walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bear fruit in every good work, and grow in the knowledge of God. He reminds us that God Himself supplies the strength we need to endure with joy because He has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints, delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. This passage encourages every Christian to pursue spiritual maturity with confidence in the saving grace and sustaining power of Christ.
