Colossians 3:1-11 - Audio
from Calvary Prineville Hosted by Rory Rodgers
As Christians, it is so easy to fall into the trap of legalism, wherein, we begin to base our acceptance to the Father on what we do and don't do, instead of what Jesus has done for us. This kind of living can only lead to two things, depression or prideful arrogance. I Colossians 3:1-11, the Apostle Paul instructs us that we are to put off the old man and put on the new one, who is renewed in Christ, not one's own works. Rules and regulations don't cause us to put on the new man, they smother and squeeze the spiritual life out of us. Only in Christ can we experience true change.
