Colossians: Jesus is King
from Sunday Monday Hosted by Gateway Baptist Church
In this first episode of the new series of the Sunday Monday Podcast, Brad and Sam are joined by Andrew Sercombe and Lauren Lucas to launch our journey through the book of Colossians. Together they explore how Paul’s letter to an ordinary church in an ordinary town carries a timeless call for believers to live with Jesus as King over every part of life. Key themes include: • In Christ, At Colossae: Sam reflects on Paul’s powerful greeting and the difference between simply being somewhere and living fully “in Christ” wherever we are. • Citizens of the Kingdom: Andrew unpacks what it means to be citizens of God’s kingdom today — living with faith, hope, and love in a world that often pulls us in other directions. • The Church’s Calling: The group discusses how Paul’s vision for the Colossian church reminds us that the mission of God isn’t limited to pastors or leaders — it’s the calling of every believer, every day. • Living in the Kingdom Now: Together they challenge listeners to consider what it looks like to live lives that truly reflect the reign of Jesus, not just on Sunday, but every day of the week.
