Paul’s deep desire is for every believer to grow in maturity, not just in knowledge or activity, but in actual Christlikeness—to be spiritually formed into his image. However, spiritual growth is often slow, confusing, and nonlinear. True transformation comes not from our own effort alone, but from the reality that Christ lives in us, empowering us to grow over time.
