Colossus & Kitty Pryde – The Man of Steel & the Ninja

%CODE1% First Character Corner of 2017 is here! Kriss and Dpalm start the year off talking about Piotr Rasputin (Colossus) and Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat). We start with Giant Size X-Men #1 that gives us our first introduction of Colossus along with a bunch of other fan favorites like Storm & Nightcrawler and the second full appearance of Wolverine. We then go through the Claremont years and discuss then the introduction of Kitty Pryde and why the character is so important. The relationship between Peter and Kitty is a bit weird because of their ages but it develops into something less creepy.  This Character Corner also was a great excuse for us to re-read Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men run which at its core is a Colossus/Shadowcat story.
